But, seriously, the second half of the year has arrived, which means there many new and exciting things happening.

Monday Night Quickfire

The competition starts TONIGHT (13 July), so if you haven't been in contact with Graeme to have your name put down, you need to do so now.

Thursday Night Team Competition

Thursday night team competition will have grading this Thursday, 16 July. The formal competition will start the following Thursday, 23 July.

This season, YOUR committee is encouraging all players, at all levels to get more involved in the competition and play a bigger part each night. We can all contribute to a more successful competition by doing the following things:

• Support your team, where possible arrive on time and stay as long as possible. Cheer your team, offer advice and encouragement!
• Score or Referee. Everyone is expected to score or referee a match each night. If you don't know how, ask! Everyone needs to learn and there are many knowledgable players in the club that can assist. It is much easier going for scorers if they have a dedicated referee and much better for the people on the court also.
• Respect the scorers, referees and your opponents! We are an all abilities club and we want to encourage new members/squash players to take an active part in the competitions and the club.
• Plan ahead. If you are going to be away for one or more weeks during the competiton organise a replacement and let the competition coordinator know. If something comes up suddenly, do your best to let the comp coordinator know as ear
